Split-Wall Air Conditioning

Wall split systems come in a multitude of brands, sizes and capabilities. There are a number of factors you need to consider when choosing your system such as the size of the room, ceiling height, insulation usage in walls or ceiling and sun orientation. Together, these factors will influence which system is best suited. Generally, split systems are used for small rooms or open living space areas when ceiling access is limited.

Multi Head Units

Multi head units are reverse cycle systems with more than one head unit or wall unit running from the one external compressor. While multi head split system air conditioning has a higher initial cost due to the pipework involved, it has the ability to cool multiple rooms at once and only requires one outdoor unit.  It also allows for individual control of the air conditioning in each room giving you maximum comfort levels and offers savings on running costs.

Ducted Reverse Cycle

Ducted reverse cycle systems are the most common type of heating and cooling system due to their versatility. It has the capability to heat and cool an entire house. However, similar to wall split systems, it is crucial that you obtain the correct size system for your home. They will generally use one outdoor compressor unit, and are available with inverter technology to feed the internal air handling unit. From this, the based on your zone design, the air can then be split and directed into various locations of your house.

Ducted Evaporative Systems

Evaporative systems are a simple and cost-effective way of cooling your home. They work by drawing hot air from the outside, passing it through a fan to cool it, then through to your various room vents. Due to its simple design, evaporative cooling is cheaper to install, repair and run. However, evaporative systems are unable to heat your home, and require windows or doors to be open ajar for adequate airflow.

Service & Maintenance

Just like any machine, all air conditioning systems require regular service and maintenance checks to ensure they are working efficiently. This can save you money on running costs, keep your system within its warranty conditions, minimise any unexpected breakdowns, prevent harmful bacteria build up and even reduce possible fire risks. For residential clients, we recommend getting your air conditioning system checked at least once a year. However, for air conditioning systems with high usage, such as for commercial firms, you may require bi annual services.

Upon diagnosis, we will prepare a quote for you, and provide you with accurate costs on further repairs or replacement options to make sure you are not left with unexpected bills. All parts are covered by the manufacturer warranty; however, our labour is backed by our life time warranty because that’s how confident we are in the service and ongoing support we provide.
